Synopsis
United States, 1970s.
We follow the very brilliant Jack through five incidents and discover the murders that will mark his journey as a serial killer. The story is told from Jack's point of view. He views each murder as a work of art in itself. As the police finally and inevitably get closer (which exasperates Jack and puts pressure on him) he decides - contrary to all logic - to take more and more risks. Throughout the film, we learn about Jack's descriptions of his personal situation, problems, and thoughts through his conversation with a stranger, Verge. A grotesque mix of sophistry, almost childish self-pity and detailed explanations of Jack's dangerous and difficult maneuvers.
