Synopsis
In his forties, Nelu is a security guard at the supermarket in Salonta, a small town on the border between Romania and Hungary. This is where many undocumented migrants try, by any means, to cross into Hungary and then, beyond, into Western Europe. Nelu's days pass tirelessly in the same way: fishing at dawn, then work, and finally at home, with his wife Florica. They live alone, on an isolated farm in the middle of the fields, outside the city. One morning, Nelu makes an unusual catch in the river: a Turk trying to cross the border... Unable to communicate with words, the two men nevertheless manage to understand each other. Nelu takes the stranger to his farm and gives him dry clothes, food and shelter. In return, the Turk gives him all the money he has, asking him to help him cross the border. Nelu ends up taking the money and promises that he will help him tomorrow, Morgen...
