Synopsis
In the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, Farrel asks the captain of the freighter he works on for permission to go ashore: he wants to go to where he was born to find out if his mother is still breathing. Farrel worked as a sailor for the last twenty years of his life. He got drunk enough to roll on the floor and always paid for the women he had. He didn't make any friends. Once he reaches the snowy hamlet where he spent his early years, he discovers that his mother still lives but also that there is one more person in the family.
