Synopsis
In the early 1970s on the northwest coast of Scotland, the community of a small town reluctantly celebrates the marriage of Bess, a naive and pious young girl, and Jan, a middle-aged oil rig worker. Their happiness will be shattered by an accident which will paralyze Jan.
